Mr. Sajeeb Wazed advises the Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh on policy and strategic issues related to Information and Communication Technology as the Honorable Prime Minister’s ICT Advisor. He is the architect of Digital Bangladesh. The policies taken by him as the Prime Minister’s ICT Advisor opened a new horizon of ICT usage in Bangladesh as the country continues to improve rapidly in all indicators of technological advancement including mobile phone users, internet users, accessing public services digitally, mobile banking, and earnings from ICT exports. His policies has already contributed to Bangladesh receiving investment from Silicon Valley. It is a paradigm shift for Bangladesh to reach such a height in ICT from what it had been even less than a decade ago. Mr. Sajeeb Wazed is a successful IT entrepreneur and policy expert based in Washington, DC. He has worked in the industry for almost two decades. This includes several technology startups in the Silicon Valley. He has his own consulting practice in the Washington area with clients including global multinational companies. Mr. Sajeeb Wazed has a Bachelor’s degree with a triple major in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science from Bangalore University, another Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Texas and a Master of Public Administration degree from the Harvard Kennedy School. In 2007, Mr. Wazed was elected ‘Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum. Besides, he was given the ICT for Development Award by four renowned international organizations during the UN General Assembly 2016.

Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak held a number of important positions in the past which ensures him a great amount of experience. He was the Member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on ICT Ministry and Private Member’s Bill from 2009 to 2013, and was also the Member of Parliament in National Assembly of Bangladesh since 2009. From 2009, he held the position of Co-Chair of Parliamentary Committee on Climate Change till 2013. He was also the President of Bangladesh Carom Federation since 2009, and Vice-President of International Carom Federation since 2011. He holds the position of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh since January 2014. Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak accomplished a number of achievements in his line of work. He had secured the National Award on Environment in 2010 in recognition to his role in the large scale tree plantation movement. He was elected Member of Parliament at the age of 28, and is considered the youngest MP in the 9th Parliament, and was re-elected in 2014. At the age of 33, he became the Minister of State making him the youngest minister in the history of Bangladesh. During his tenure, more than 18,000 government offices across the country were brought under a dedicated high speed intranet, one of the world’s largest web portal consisting of 25,000 government websites established, Bangladesh won ICT’s Sustainable Development Award and WSIS plus 10 Award from ITU and Public Service Excellence Award from WITSA. In 2016, he was nominated for Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak is a lawyer by profession and enrolled as an Advocate in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He had obtained his Masters of Science in Political Science and LLB (Bachelor of Law) from National University of Bangladesh. In addition, he had completed a Capstone Course from National Defence College, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

A H M Mustafa Kamal (Lotus Kamal), Renowned cricket patron who had been the Chairman of Abahani Cricket Committee for more than two decades, a reputed Chartered Accountant of the country A H M Mustafa Kamal was born in Comilla on 15 June 1947. His father is late Haji Babru Miah and mother Ms. Sayara Khatun. Mr. Kamal passed the Chartered Accountancy exam in 1970 securing first position in the combined merit list in the then Pakistan. He became an Honours Graduate (Commerce) from Dhaka University in 1967 and a Post-Graduate (Masters) in Accounting from the same university in the subsequent year. He is also a law graduate. Mr. Kamal got involved in politics from his student life. Throughout his college life he had been associated with active student politics. He served his locality as a leading organizer of Awami League during 6 point movement of 1966, mass upsurge of 1969 and the historic 1970election period. Mr. Kamal became the Member of Parliament (MP) in 1996 from Comilla-9 constitutional seat on Awami League nomination. During this period he was the Member of the Public Accounts Committee, Board of Investment, Privatization Commission, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance Ministry and Chittagong University Senate. Since 2004 he has been included in the Awami League Central Committee. Simultaneously, he has been discharging the responsibility of the post of the Convener of Comilla District Awami League since 2006. He is currently serving as the Finance and Planning Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League. He also ornamented this post in the previous term. Mr. Kamal was elected MP for the second time from Comilla -10 seat in 2008 parliament election as an Awami League candidate. He held the post of the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance Ministry during 2009-2013 period. Mr. Kamal served Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) as its president in September 2009 – October 2013 term. During his tenure World Cup Cricket was arranged in Bangladesh in 2011 with worldwide acclamation. The inaugural ceremony of this event (17th February 2011) secured 2nd position in the world ranking. He is currently the Vice-president of International Cricket Council (ICC) and will take over as its elected President from July 01, 2014. Earlier, he was the President of ICC Audit Committee and the President of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) as well. Mr. Kamal was elected the Member of Parliament for the 3rd time contesting from Comilla-10 seat on Awami League nomination in January 5, 2014 election. He was sworn in as a cabinet minister of the Government of the Peoples’ Republic of Bangladesh.

Mustafa Jabbar is very known to the people of Bangladesh and Bengali speaking people of the world for three of his milestone works. 1) His Bijoy Bangla Keyboard and software has become the symbol of success of Software industry of Bangladesh and it has also been the icon of Bangla language in the Digital age. He is the only Patent holder in Bangladesh of any ICT related product (Bijoy Keyboard) till now. 2) On the other hand his slogan Digital Bangladesh is now the most popular program in Bangladesh 3) His works for the transformation of the education system to a digital format is leading the country towards a new era; in a digital education system. He has leaded the ICT industry as the President of Bangladesh Computer Samity, the national ICT organisation of Bangladesh in 1996-97 & 2008-14. Mustafa Jabbar came from a remote village of Bangladesh.Getting his higher education (Graduation and Masters) in Bangla Language & Literature from the University of Dhaka. He started his career as a journalist on 16 January 1972. He was a member of Mujib Bahini (Bangladesh Liberation Force) in 1971 and participated in the War Of Liberation of Bangladesh. He had to change his profession as that newspaper he was working namely Ganakantha was compelled to be ceased its publications in January 1975. Doing some businesses in Media, Travel & Tour Operation, Printing, Publishing and Computer Reselling, he is now engaged in Software Development, Providing IT Education, Developing IT Enabled Educational Curriculum, Developing Course Materials for ICT Education, Creating Software and providing ICT Services, Doing Researches on ICT, ICT Journalism and writing Books on ICT and other subjects. Mustafa Jabbar is the technology leader and promoter of ICT in Bangladesh. He is the founder member of Bangladesh Computer Samity and Bangladesh Association of Software and Services. He has been elected President of Bangladesh Computer Samity for the fourth term and retied from his office frm 01 April 2014 due to regulatory bindings. He was also the founder vice president of BASIS. He is involved in writing text books on Computer in Bangla and English. He has done translation woks from Bengali to English and English to Bengali. He has checked the translation work of Windows 7.

Starting early in the year 2004 with FIFOTech, he embarked on the long journey that was to shape his Is Management career. Due to his incomparable work in the IT industry, he is also serving in the Bangladesh Association of Call Center and Outsourcing (BACCO), in the position of Finance Secretary, since the beginning of BACCO.
